Kevin McCarthy of Newtown was arrested around 10 p.m. Monday after Newtown Police were called to a residence on Bonnie Brae Drive to investigate the report of a family member attacking another family member and then fled the residence, Newtown Police said.
Police located McCarthy shortly after they received a report from a resident on Brushy Hill Road of a naked man on their back deck, police said.
He was charged with disorderly conduct, strangulation/suffocate, and assault of an elderly victim.
McCarthy was held overnight on a $10,000 bond and appeared in court on Tuesday.
